Scurrying Home

Straining towards
the setting sun;
soaking in
the last rays
of sunlight.
I spread my petals
far and wide,
to touch the
tired, tepid rays.
The tiny ant
scurries down
the stalk,
as it sways
in the sorrowful,
setting light.
